Booking Terms & Conditions
Right get your glasses out, it’s times for the small print.
Terms and Conditions are boring but are important and help make sure you understand everything about the trip you are booking and the level of service you are going to receive. Please ensure you read and understand our T’s & C’s before making a booking.
Booking
To make a booking you must complete a booking form on our website, or over the phone with one of our team. Bookings will be confirmed by email or telephone. Confirmation is only confirmed on receipt of your deposit in cleared funds, it is only then a contract is entered into between and our booking conditions are applied. You will receive an itinerary and invoice showing your trip information and outstanding balance. Please ensure your any outstanding balance is paid on time. Late payments may mean having to cancel your booking. Please see the relevant cancellation charges.
Cancellation by you
If you need to cancel your trip you may do so in writing
Depending on how far in advance you cancel you may be entitled to a refund:
- 60 days or more before the departure date: lose of deposit only.
- More than 30 days but less than 60 days: a 50% refund of price will be made.
- Less than 30 days before the departure date: no refund will be given.
You may transfer a booking made in your name into the name of another person, you will need to write to us with details at least fourteen 30 days before your trip.
Cancellation by us
We would normally only cancel a trip if we feel it would be unsafe to operate it or that circumstances beyond our control mean the trip would not meet expectations. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the tour you will be entitled to a full refund of anything already paid or you have the option of transferring to different tour date If the tour is cancelled because the minimum number of people required to operate the tour hasn’t been reached then you will be notified in writing no less than 60 days before departure date. If your tour is cancelled by us we will not be responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred such as travel expenses, visas etc. No compensation will be paid to cover these expenses. We recommend that adequate insurance is taken to cover any such loss.
Cooling off
If you decide to cancel your tour you will be entitled to a 14 day cooling off period from receipt of your booking form.
During this time you will be entitled to a full refund of any monies paid.
Insurance
You must have adequate holiday insurance that includes medical cover, personal accident, loss of belongings & cancellation cover, equipment (including, bicycles & helmets intended for your use whether rented or otherwise) and the cost of repatriation should you become too ill to continue.
There are insurances designed for the type of trips we offer and we recommend you purchase insurance with this type of cover. Any claims concerning matters for which you are insured must be directed to your insurers.
We cannot be held responsible for your own illness, injury or loss/damage of your bike or belongings while on holiday.
It is also your responsibility to ensure you arrive at the itinerary start date within a reasonable time.
Pricing
All prices quoted are in Euros and include VAT at the appropriate rate of 21%.
Prices are fixed apart from two exceptions.
- Due to any change in VAT or any other duties.
- As a result of an unexpected rise in transportation costs, but guarantee too limited this surcharge to no more than 3% of the overall holiday.
Your trip
Your booking can be only accepted under the condition that you understand and accept the following:
The risks and hazards of such a trip, including the dangers associated with cycling on roads, the dangers inherent in any other activities included on your trip, and the dangers of foreign travel. Your trip is subject to natural hazards, and any risks that result from them. Including changes of local politics, adverse weather conditions, the poor state of Spanish highways (where appropriate), terrorism and disease.
You need to be flexible in a trip of this kind. The day to day itinerary should be viewed as an objective and not as a contractual obligation.
If after departure we are unable to provide a significant proportion of the itinerary we had agreed to we will act reasonably to make suitable alternatives.
We cannot at any time guarantee the composition of the group in terms of age, nationality, gender, singles and couples.
Flights and other products you purchase separately do not form part of your trip package with us.
Travel arrangements outside of the tour itinerary are your sole responsibility. Any information/recommendations we provide must be checked by you.
Our responsibility starts in line with your tour itinerary, If you fail to arrive there at the appointed time for whatever reason, we will not be responsible for any additional expenses incurred by you to meet up with the tour group.
Any information given in regard to climate, clothing, special equipment, topography must also be checked by you.
No refund or compensation will be made or given for any unused portion of your trip once you have started the tour in line with our itinerary.
Your behaviour must at all times be appropriate to the region and culture of Spain. Offensive or illegal behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in the police being involved. We will not accept offensive or aggressive behaviour towards our staff or associated colleagues employed by our tour partners. You run the risk that we may ask you and/or any member of your party to leave the tour if your conduct is considered by us to be inappropriate or likely to cause harm or distress to other members of your group, staff and/or the general public.
No refunds or compensation will be given in these circumstances
Health precautions
You must provide us with any existing medical problem or disability that could affect your travel arrangements whilst on one of our tours.
You must be physically fit and understand the exertions that our tours may require. Our tours require physical effort, some tours may involve you in a greater level of exertion than your usual day-to-day environment.
Before commencing any tour please ensure that we are aware if you have any major concerns, fears or phobias about the situation(s) in which you are choosing to place yourself.
Cycling is a potentially dangerous activity & the risks involved should be considered before undertaking such a trip. We will be cycling mostly on quiet roads however there will be times when we cycle on busier roads where traffic density is higher. All persons undertaking this tour do so at their own risk
Equipment
If you are bringing your own bicycle and or other equipment on one of our tours you must ensure that it is adequately maintained and fit for purpose.
We will take all reasonable care when transporting your equipment, but we are not responsible for any damage caused to equipment by a third party.
The use of a helmet is compulsory on all of our tours.
Accommodation
Each accommodation provider that we employ may have its own terms and conditions on which they accept guests, and you agree to abide by these.
In Spain it is required by law that you present your passport or similar government ID whilst checking in to your accommodation.
We continually want to improve the experience of our tours you must acknowledge and accept that we may change or alter accommodation as required.
You will stay in a mixture of hotels and country inns. If you are travelling with a friend then you will be roomed together in a twin. If you’re with your partner then you will automatically allocated in a double room, please advise us in writing if a twin is required. If you are travelling alone then you will be roomed with another member of the group (same sex) in a twin room. The majority of the rooms you stay in will be en-suite however there maybe the odd occasion that are not en-suite.
If you choose the single room option you will have your own room for the duration of the trip.
This will be in either a single room or single occupancy of a double room.
Complaints
If you have any problems or complaints with your trip, please let us know as soon as possible as we would rather try and rectify anything whilst there is still time. In the unlikely event we cannot resolve any complaint under local law we must supply you with our complaints book that is regulated by the ’Junta de Andalucia’
General
These booking conditions are governed by Spanish law.
By booking, unless you tell us otherwise, you consent to our use of any likeness or image of you secured or taken on any of our trips without charge in all media, whether now or in the future for the sole use of promotional material of any kind, such as brochures, videos and the internet. This personal data, together with all other personal information you provide when making your booking with us or otherwise, will be processed by us in accordance with our privacy policy.
